Early Years and Education (Until 1990):
Born in London in 1968, Richard Bramble received an art scholarship at Sherborne School, Dorset, and later attended the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London, graduating in 1990. He then pursued a career as a fine artist, showcasing his work in numerous exhibitions.
Collaboration with Chefs and Ceramic Beginnings (1995-1997)
Since 1995, Richard worked with top Michelin-starred chefs, creating ingredient and wine paintings, leading to the publication of ‘The Star Chefs Cookbook’ in 1998. This era sparked his first ceramic collaborations, including the Aubergine design porcelain plate with chef Gordon Ramsay and Villeroy & Boch Pottery.
Borough Market Inspiration and Jersey Pottery Collaboration (1998-2010):
Inspired by his involvement in Borough Market, Richard developed a range of ingredient plate designs. He partnered with Jersey Pottery, launching collections based on his fish and shellfish designs, and later transitioned to fine porcelain.
Independent Manufacturing and Collection Expansion (2016-Present):
After the closure of the Jersey Pottery factory in 2010 and the end of their collaboration in 2016, Richard began overseeing the manufacturing of his designs. He expanded his collection to include kitchen accessories and undertook various commissions, such as special commemorative pieces for different organizations.
